Muti Nayyar CEng MIMechE

Director | Manufacturing Operations | New Business Development

Combines manufacturing leadership and commercial expertise to develop new business opportunities and deliver operational improvements.

Muti Nayyar is a Chartered Manufacturing Engineer with more than 16 years of experience transforming manufacturing operations across the UK, from high-volume automotive production to private equity-backed industrial businesses. His career has focused on improving operational performance, strengthening quality, reducing costs and helping organisations overcome complex manufacturing challenges.

From delivering high-volume automotive programmes for Porsche, Volkswagen Group and Lamborghini at NORMA Group to leading engineering operations across multiple manufacturing facilities, Muti has built a reputation for combining technical expertise with practical, hands-on leadership. He has delivered over £1 million in cost reductions and improved right-first-time quality performance from 70% to 99.8% across four manufacturing sites.

Throughout his career, Muti has championed a leadership philosophy built on understanding what actually happens on the factory floor rather than relying solely on reports and performance indicators. He believes sustainable operational improvement begins with observing processes, engaging directly with operators and developing practical solutions alongside the people responsible for delivering them.

His experience includes senior engineering and operations leadership within private equity-backed manufacturing businesses and serving as Interim Operations Director at a Tier 1 supplier during a major product recall. From operational recovery and quality improvement to manufacturing strategy and investment decisions, Muti has consistently demonstrated the importance of disciplined execution, sound engineering judgement and effective leadership.

At Ordinary World Innovations, Muti brings the perspective of an experienced manufacturing operator who understands how to translate strategy into measurable improvements on the production line. His expertise strengthens OWI's ability to support organisations with manufacturing transformation, operational recovery, supplier development and production readiness across multiple industries.
