Alexander Eichler brings more than 26 years of international automotive engineering and leadership experience, specialising in high-performance vehicle development, vehicle dynamics, advanced chassis technologies and electric performance vehicles. His career spans Bosch, Bosch Engineering and Hyundai Motor Europe, where he has played a leading role in developing some of the automotive industry's most technically demanding performance vehicles.
From developing advanced chassis control systems for Mercedes-AMG and McLaren to establishing Hyundai's High Performance Vehicle Test & Development organisation, Alexander has built a reputation for combining deep technical expertise with practical leadership and disciplined execution. He has led multidisciplinary engineering teams, developed specialist technical capabilities and helped transform ambitious vehicle concepts into successful production programmes.
At Hyundai Motor Europe, Alexander played a central role in defining the driving dynamics and performance characteristics of the Hyundai N range, including the i30 N, i20 N, Kona N, Veloster N and Elantra N. He subsequently helped transfer this performance DNA into electric vehicle architectures, contributing to the successful development and launch of the IONIQ 5 N and IONIQ 6 N, recognised as World Performance Cars in 2024 and 2026 respectively.
As Executive Expert for Vehicle Development and Chief Engineer for Genesis Magma projects, Alexander coordinated multidisciplinary engineering teams across Europe and Korea, developing advanced technology demonstrators, innovative chassis systems and high-performance concept vehicles. His achievements include the Genesis GV60 Magma Concept securing a class victory at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Throughout his career, Alexander has championed a leadership philosophy built on technical excellence, empowering engineering teams and challenging conventional thinking. He believes that successful vehicle development requires more than sophisticated technology and ambitious targets; it demands experienced engineers who understand vehicle behaviour, work collaboratively and take responsibility for delivering results.
