Corporate Psychology, Employee Development & Organizational Wellbeing
Background & Collaboration
In 2022, I collaborated with Saudi ICON, a major construction company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on a long-term corporate development and employee well-being engagement lasting approximately one year.
The collaboration focused on strengthening internal communication, improving employee wellbeing, supporting professional and personal development, and identifying organizational needs through a psychology-based approach.
Drawing on my background in Organizational and Business Psychology, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and resilience development, I delivered tailored corporate training programs, interactive workshops, and individual development sessions.
Scope of Engagement & Key Initiatives
A. Communication & Interpersonal Skills Training
Designed and delivered communication training for employees across the organization, focusing on:
- Effective workplace communication.
- Interpersonal relationships and collaboration.
- Understanding communication styles and behavioural patterns.
B. Work-Life Balance & Employee Wellbeing
Delivered workshops addressing sustainable performance and personal wellbeing, covering:
- Work-life balance and healthy boundaries.
- Recognizing and managing workplace stressors.
- Personal resilience and coping strategies.
C. Employee Needs Assessment & Organizational Survey
Supported the organization in developing and distributing an employee survey to gain a better understanding of workforce needs, challenges, and development priorities.
The objectives included:
- Identifying employee needs and areas requiring additional support.
- Gathering employee perspectives and feedback.
- Identifying priorities for training and organizational development.
- Supporting a targeted, needs-based approach to employee development.
Approach & Methodology
The engagement combined organizational psychology, evidence-based CBT principles, positive psychology, and practical resilience strategies.
Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, the activities addressed both organizational priorities and individual employee development needs.
The methodology included:
- Interactive group workshops.
- Structured corporate training sessions.
- Individual and executive coaching.
- Psychological development techniques.
- Employee feedback and needs assessment.
Key Takeaway
This engagement demonstrates how organizational psychology can be translated into practical corporate solutions.
By combining employee needs assessment, communication training, work-life balance initiatives, and individual CBT-based development, the collaboration addressed both the human and professional dimensions of organizational success.
My contribution was to bridge psychology and business by helping organizations better understand their people, strengthen their workforce, and create the foundations for a healthier, more resilient, and more effective working environment.
